Attractions
For both the visitor and resident Linkinhorne has a wide variety of attractions
Landscape
The Parish is renowned for its wide diversity of landscape. Appreciate quiet meadows beside tumbling rivers or the wide barren landscape of Bodmin Moor with its stark chimneys as testament to the Victorian mining boom.
Villages
In Linkinhorne Parish there are just quiet hamlets and small villages, some nestling in the valleys and higher up are the traditional moorland villages where sheep and cattle wander at will.
Footpaths
Linkinhorne has over 26 kilometres of Public Rights of Way. Many of these originated as miners routes to work. Today the users appreciate them for exercise and the wonderful views of the countryside they offer. The Parish Council has published maps and walks leaflets.
Food and Drink
Linkinhorne is fortunate to have five public houses and two tearooms. At each of these places you will be bound to receive a warm welcome and be able to sample excellent food, much of it locally produced.
History
Linkinhorne Parish has a wide diversity of historic attractions, from pre-historical remains to the industrial archaeology of the mining period. There are churches and chapel to visit and information for family historians is available. More about Linkinhorne history.
